Fall Festival and 25th Anniversary

25 years ago this weekend we came from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, me suddenly with four daughters instead of the one I'd had as an only child for 14 years.

Their first American event was the Church Fall Festival - something we've done ever since, but now also with the next generation as Saray, Sarah, Deysi and Marcela added husbands and 8 children between 'em all.

Yes, Marcela is sticking out her tongue as a nod to her then 7 year old self.

After church we took the kids to the festival and had a blast, again leaving me wondering whose life I was living.  It's been so nice and peaceful, so rewarding and fun lately that I find myself scared to trust in it, so accustomed had I become to strenuous difficulties and challenges, literally to such danger and violence that I know I've been emotionally scarred for life.

But today we simply had fun, celebrating the 25 year milestone.
