Since most of my children are now teenagers, I can see the end in sight, after nearly 50 years of parenting, at least when Tabby is grown, and this nutjob of a dog, Shatter, AKA Shadow, our youngest dog, will likely be all that's left, so we'll rattle through this big house, barefeet and fancy free, living out my initial dream of self-sufficiency, something I've always strived for, well that and conquering my run-on sentence tendencies.
