Undefeated All Season

Jack and Nando had an awesome coach who played them in every position every game, he had just enough players to do so and I know he must have been tempted to increase his odds of being the winningest coach by playing one girl, Carmen, the most. She was awesome and scored many goals, but this coach stressed fairness over winning and subsequently he won the most.

It was a great season for all my kids; they learned, played hard, and had a blast. If I had a do-over on anything, I'd have stressed sports even more than I've already done. I am very grateful to a local high school coach here who has financially made it possible for us to play fall and spring soccer with our rec league.

Anyone watching the news knows that a million pounds of ground beef has ben recalled. All I have to say about it is a trillion should be recalled. No amount of commercial beef is beneficial to one's health. JMHO.

A common denominator in unsuccessful people is their inability to defer gratification. Miriam, finding tutoring boring, but now learning that the alternative equals menial jobs, is listening to my harping on sacrifices now paying off later. Her boyfriend, still in high school, is extremely smart and Miriam is quick to notice his parent's expectations as well. Tomorrow she'll return to 'boring' knowing that it'll pay off someday.

My hero of the day is this woman.
