Paloma, here on the right, yelled out that she'd forgotten her shoes as I was backing out the van this morning on the way to school. Tabby, age 2, had put on her own shoes, 3 year old Fernando even remembered to wear shoes.
Paloma is eight years old and astronomically unconcerned with any sort of details such as shoes. None of the other 14 kids loading up bothered to mention that Paloma was barefeet, they probably were all wondering why they had to wear shoes since the weather is sweltering, even at 7:30 in the morning.
Even I had on my flip flops.
